Adam Neely, one of my favorite Youtube people, released a video today about the 7:11 polyrhythm and composite rhythms and how to figure all that stuff out along with a crazy challenge. You should check it out here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9CgR2Y6XO4
I haven't done the challenge yet, because 1. it's very cold and bad outside and 2. I suck at internalizing challenging rhythmic ideas, BUT- I convinced my computer to do it, and I wanted to make something kinda mellow and creepy out of, so you have this glitchy little nightmare-street music! There's a lot of use of Formula Controller on this bad boy because I needed the effects to feel more alive and unpredictable. The drums layout the basic composite rhythm pretty straight, and then the bass kinda plays off it a bit, with the pad just repeating a drawn out 6 bar chord progression to really emphasize how stretched out everything should feel in this one. Have fun...? Oh, and please consider giving money to my Kickstarter for a crazy art project I want to do: kck.st/2WvFXfq
