Hey! Today is a crap day, so I made this moody little mess in 15/8 using the Gummy Bear scale, which 12tone invented (?) here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx_VdGFaPJk
This is a hard scale, because it is just a mess of intervals, with a lot of clustering down at the bottom and space at the top. I found that using it kinda like a weird mode of a harmonic minor or Phrygian dominant thing seemed a good way to go, and then this morning I cooked up this jankity piano bit and built a melody, bass, and drums around that- it felt like not enough of a song with just that though, so I wanted to have a bit of a rubato lead up which I ended up just recording on my phone as an improv thing. Enjoy? Or don't- it's kinda meant to feel bad.
